Tanzania Safari Packing List

If it were a stroll on the beach then you would just put on a T-shirt and pair of “comfortable” shoes and push off. But this is not an ordinary walk on the beach; this is a safari – an adventure of a lifetime. Getting the Tanzania Safari Packing List right is a step in the right direction to ensure a hiccup-free safari trip. So let’s take a look at the essentials of your Kipe Adventure

We mentioned “comfortable shoes’ because comfort is the name of the game and the stuff you pack should assure comfort- more so when it’s clothes. The Best Time For Safari In Tanzania is the dry season.

Clothing For Men and Women During Your Tanzania Safari

So if you are wondering What To Wear In Tanzania Safari, we have the complete solution for you. Comfortable, casual, layered, and practical should guide your selection of clothes. Cargo pants and capris are a good idea for outdoor safari activities.

Your Clothes for Safari in Tanzania must be lightweight and washable. In safari wear, neutral colors are a smart choice as they don’t draw the attention of animals. Long sleeves and trousers in light-colored fabrics are good protection against the sun and help discourage insect bites. Your, Tanzania Safari Packing List avoids the temptation of camouflage clothes.

A Pullover or windbreaker or jacket is essential for early morning and night game drives.

A backpack is an important part of the Tanzania Packing List to carry the essentials that you need immediate access to on the safari (clothes, food water, etc). It should be durable, lightweight, and waterproof. Waterproof boots for those walking safaris. Sneakers can be used elsewhere. The weather tends to be hot in the daytime. Other medications include – antiseptic gel, anti-diarrhea medication, antacid tablets for indigestion, band-aids with antiseptic cream, and prescription medications.

Varieties of Bags you must consider

When you are Travelling To Tanzania What To Pack is the main thought in your mind. Firstly you can carry the most important waterproof duffle bag. In this, you can add the stuff that you rarely need in your day trek. Then you need a trekking bag where you can stuff your camera, 3 liters of water, food, an additional layer, and more that you require in a day’s climb.

You can add packing cubes that come in handy as they make organizing your clothes and other essentials easy.

In these, you can stuff the underwear, base layers, and shell layers. There are other normal bags like those needed for shoes, for your dirty clothes. You can carry zip locks for your passports. Depending on the number of days you spend before and after your trek, you will most probably stay in the same hotels. And the extra clothes for your safari (If are planning any after the trek) and other luggage can be stored in the hotel rooms.

Camping Gears and Gadgets for Your Tanzania Travels

If you are pondering what To Take Tanzania Safari for your camping trek, you are at the right place! For a camping safari in Tanzanian national parks or even for your Kilimanjaro trek, you will need camping gear. You need a sleeping bag as the temperatures on the mountain are minus 10- 15 degrees Celsius.

You can add liners to add to the warmth in case you are renting a sleeping bag.

Other gears that you will need are microfiber towels (when you wash your face or hands in warm water on the trek), wet wipes, and hand sanitizers. You will be relieved on the camping site if you take your camping shoes for the trek. Headlamps are also important (take extra batteries for these).

In your Tanzania Safari, Packing List gears are important. This gadget list includes your Smartphone, solar battery pack, charging cables, noise-canceling earphones, hand warmers (you can also use these to keep your batteries warm as they readily lose charge in cold temperatures), power adopters to charge these batteries, and smartwatch to keep a tab of the temperature, altitude, etc.

5 days beautiful trip in Arusha Tanzania with Kipe Adventures We booked a 5-day tour with Kipe Adventures during which we explored Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater in the first two days. We stayed in a mix of hotel /lodges which ranged from budgeted to luxury and every stay which was arranged for us was really nice Remaining days were dedicated to immersing ourselves in the local culture and meeting some of the world's rarest tribes like hadzabe and what an amazing day spent hunting with them From the moment we arrived in Arusha until we departed, Kipe ensured that every detail was taken care of. We highly recommend booking with him, as having an experienced driver & knowledgeable guide is essential, and he possesses all the qualities needed for an exceptional & safe experience. On the final day, he took us to his village, which was a delightful experience not to be missed. We visited the school which he has built from his revenue , met his family and we were greeted and treated with so much warmth & love .They truly made us feel like home.

A wonderfully, diverse and family-friendly safari, highlighted by a personal and enriching Maasai village visit. Kipe masterfully organized our trip, accommodating a diverse group that included young children, seniors, and adults. Every aspect of the journey was meticulously planned and thoroughly enjoyable for my family & friends. To cater to our unique needs, we were provided an additional guide, ensuring a seamless experience and immediate support for any unforeseen situations. The highlight of our adventure was the visit to the Maasai village. The heartfelt encounter with Kipe's family added a deeply personal touch to our safari. I wholeheartedly recommend Kipe for an exceptional and memorable safari experience.

A once in a lifetime experience We spent five days with Kipe's Adventures in Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. We had a wonderful experience and saw a lot during our trips. We were amazed by the Tanzanian hospitality and enjoyed sleeping in the tents and listening to the sounds around us at night. All of Kipe's team were amazing and we also want to thank Manfred and Samuel again for the great time in Tanzania. On our last day, Kipe showed us his home village with a warm welcome ceremony from his family, delicious lunch (a local dish), dancing, and tea. Anyone interested in the way of life of the local Masai tribe should not miss out on this experience. Besides organizing safari tours, Kipe also runs an NGO and has already built a school for his community where we were able to meet and connect with young students, sing with them, and have a great time together. We are very grateful for this unique experience and will always have fond memories of our time in Tanzania.

Excellent experience in Tanzania My husband and I spent 3 weeks in Tanzania in October. My husband climbed Kilimanjaro, we visited Materuni waterfall, coffee farm in Materuni village, Duluti lake, Arusha national park walking safari, Serengeti national park, Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire national park, all organized by kipe adventures. The organization was at a very high level, all accommodations were excellent, guides and drivers as well. In addition Kipe and his family hosted us for 2 days in their Maasai village Oltukai. It was a wonderful experience, as was our entire stay in Tanzania. I would definitely recommend Kipe Adventures for everything you want to see and experience in Tanzania.

Unforgettable Serengeti Safari and Maasai Village Stay Kipe is a real Maasai Warrior and was a wonderful host. He took care of my family as he would his family. We did a 4 day high end Safari. We took his basic itinerary and adjusted it with our wishes such as seeing the wildebeest great migration. We saw a great crossing over the Mara River. We also wanted to add hot air ballooning. The whole experience was unforgettable. The accommodations were very comfortable, it was glamping more then camping. Food was very tasty. For our last night we were given the option to visit Kipe’s home village. We had the opportunity to experience real authentic Maasai way of life. We appreciate Kipe for his care and attention and welcoming us into his home.

Amazing visit to Tanzania with a Maasai host Our first trip to Africa, and we didn’t know how to choose. All of the reviews online for all of the safari operators seemed great - and to be honest, I suspect they all are. So much of the safari industry is standardized… with similar jeeps, tent camps, hot lunches regardless of which “operator” you choose. But ultimately ended up picking Kipe, and we’re so glad we did. He was able to give us an experience above and beyond. First, the basics - he’s detail oriented, flexible, and made sure our booking went exactly as we hoped. Beyond that, his understanding of service was great… he waited until 2:30 AM for our flight, drove us personally to a local Airbnb for the evening… The safari itself was excellent, we flew to the Mara region and saw the wildebeest migration, saw 4 of the big 5 within 24 hours. The hot air balloon is not to be missed, it is magical. But what makes it really special is who he is as a person, and a special activity we got to enjoy at the end. He is a true Maasai warrior (not just a tour guide who dressed up as one), and the first in his village to attend university / speak English. He is building his business in part to support his community, and has already helped build a preschool for 20 kids in their home village. We spent our last night staying in the village with his parents, grandparents, siblings…. A very special experience to be part of the Maasai family.
